The employment situation for the College of Tourism is situated in the top of its class, even for within Rikkyo University which is generally quite favorable. This is achieved based on the synergy between the individual attention given through teachers’ instruction and the support structure of the Career Center, which has reputation.
The fact that tourism covers a wide range also contributes to the high achievement in the employment. Nowadays, it is not just the hotel industry, travel industry, and passenger transport industry that are connected with tourism like before. A wide variety of industries such as commerce, finance, the IT industry, publishing, and broadcasting are making inroads into tourism and leisure, and maintain business tie-ins. The latent potentiality for graduates of the College of Tourism is sought after by various different sectors.

Providing opportunities for continuous learning

The College of Tourism does not consider career formation as just accepting high school graduates and then sending them out into society after four more years of education. There are a variety of ways to enter the college, including returning to the school after acquiring awareness of the issues in industry through work, transferring from another specialty field to the third-year level, or through admissions of university graduates. In addition, students can study abroad while they are enrolled in the college to broaden their knowledge. Advancement on to graduate school or studying abroad after graduation often observed as career paths. In addition, returning to the college as graduate students after heading out into the world is encouraged.
The College of Tourism realizes such opportunities for continuous and diverse learning and offers assistance for career formation with the cooperation of the Graduate School of Tourism, the Graduate School of Business Administration, the Institute of Tourism, overseas cooperative universities, and others.
